Swine Flu & Fighter Jets

Though one can't get Swine Flu by eating well cooked pork, what about when handling it raw? All the farmers?

By the way, the US Government is acting fishy lately, like damn trout. I woke up to the sound of two fighter jets , that were flying low enough that I could see in their damn windows. Loud son-ah-bitches... it was even on the news. Miltiary said "The exercise was training for situations in which fighters need to intercept unidentified or unresponsive aircraft." Har har har.

Sneezing?

With all the Swine Flu talk going around, I might as well mention that if you have any kind of flu/cold/disease that can be transferred through saliva, when you sneeze or caugh, try to do so in your shirt, instead of your hands. If you sneeze or caugh onto your hands, you end up spreading the germs all over everything.

Swine Flu

This all reminds of Stephen King's 'THE STAND'... the book and film. The film of it is like six hours long! Anyway, I wonder if the government released this deadly flu?

Aldridge could be back in N.H. by Tuesday

It seems like the case gets worse and worse. Alledgedly, the child porn consisted of females between the ages of 2 - 15. How can horrible things like that happen in Newport? It's shocking. A man who worked WITH the public and FOR the public, would do such things, it's horrible.

http://www.eagletimes.com/ET/LocalNews/story/090423-aam-npt-aldridge-update

Excerpts from the Eagle Times article... written by Archie Mountain.

NEWPORT -- At his arraignment late Thursday morning in San Bernardino County Superior Court in California, Aaron Aldridge, 42, of Newport, waived extradition to New Hampshire where he will face child pornography charges.

Aldridge was charged with being a fugitive from justice after being apprehended by the California Highway Patrol Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 15 about 20 miles from the California-Nevada state line.

"We've had a few concerned parents come forward and while there has been no direct link between Mr. Aldridge and anybody that we're aware of, we have taken appropriate steps to interview those people," Hoyt (NPD Chief) said.

The Newport chief, also working as the lead investigator on the case, said Newport police took an "astronomical amount of pornographic pictures" from Aldridge's home at 77 South Main St. A computer was also seized by police.

Hoyt said his department is working heavily on issues related to Aldridge's arrest in California and hasn't had a chance to examine the mounds of pornographic evidence in its possession.

Based on a preliminary inspection, Hoyt said the subjects in the photos, all females, appeared to be between the ages of 2 and 15.

As far as bringing Aldridge back to New Hampshire, Hoyt said in the past, the U.S. Marshal's Service was employed to transport prisoners from one jurisdiction to another but because of a cut in funds, that service is no longer available, Hoyt said.

Hoyt said a private contractor will be retained to accompany Aldridge back to New Hampshire. That bill will be paid by the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department, Hoyt said.

When Aldridge is arraigned on the child pornography charges in Newport District Court, Hoyt expects the prosecutor for the Newport Police Department will be requesting high cash bail. "Mr. Aldridge has already proven he is a flight risk," Hoyt said.

At his arraignment, Aldridge will not enter a plea. A probable cause hearing will be scheduled within 10 days by the court. At that time Aldridge could waive the probable cause hearing and his case would be bound over to Sullivan County Superior Court for a possible a grand jury indictment.

The judge could also rule that probable cause exists in the event Aldridge does not waive the hearing.

The alleged involvement by Aldridge has affected the morale of the police department staff in Newport, Hoyt said. "I'm sure it is also being felt at the county, state and probably the national level to a point," he said. "Every profession unfortunately has its bad apples."

Aldridge served as a full-time police officer in Newport from 1999 to 2004. At this point in the investigation, Hoyt said it is uncertain if evidence will eventually be uncovered that could possibly link Aldridge to the pornographic material during his tenure on the Newport police force. Aldridge was a reporter for the Eagle Times until last October.

Hoyt said Aldridge made it to California with a bit of luck along with his past law enforcement knowledge. "Mr. Aldridge had the ability to think things out and plan," Hoyt said.

As is the case with all new hires in the Newport Police Department, Hoyt said Aldridge was required to go through a very detailed psychological evaluation by a professional in the field along with an extensive background investigation and a polygraph interview with between 250 and 300 questions.

If it comes up that a portion of even one of those answers is partially wrong or false, the applicant is automatically disqualified as a candidate, Hoyt said. Aldridge did not come up short or fail any of the requirements, Hoyt said.

Cigarettes

I smoke cigarettes, and it is MY choice to smoke cigarettes, and I have my own insurance, in which tax payers and the government do NOT pay for, so why the Hell is the state putting such a huge tax on cigarettes in New Hampshire lately? It's so rediculous. It's not going to stop me from smoking, though. Fuck the taxes, if they think that'll make me stop smoking my Marbs, then they can forget it.

I also hate it when those people who are sadly dying of another form of cancer or disease that has nothing to do with smoking, and they go out and blab to the world "I'm dying of blah blah blah and I think smokers should pay for it since they are killing themselves anyway"... I think there was something like that going on in Claremont, NH a month or so ago. It's irratating. I know that everyone deserves life, but don't try to take money away from people just because they smoke tobacco, a natural grown plant. Ask for a loan from God, maybe he'll take a year off your life in return so that you can cure your problems and live to 99 instead of 100.

FOUND: Aaron Aldridge nabbed in California

From the 'Eagle Times', written by Archie Mountain

NEWPORT — A nationwide search for Aaron Aldridge of Newport, wanted by Newport police on two arrest warrants involving child pornography, ended in California late Tuesday afternoon, when he was captured after a short pursuit on Interstate 15.

“I’m glad Mr. Aldridge was taken into custody without incident,” said Newport Police Chief David Hoyt.

Wanted: Aaron Aldridge (Radio Host / Former Police Officer)

I've been shocked about the whole Aaron Aldridge case. I'm friends with his oldest son who I haven't seen in a while.

I find it shocking that another person associated with the Newport Police Department is in deep water. This time, it's worse though. It seems he has been "producing" illegal porn inside of his house in the form of photos and videos. The whole community seems shocked about this. I went to school with his oldest son, who is a very shy yet smart person. Total opposite of his dad.

Who knows where Aaron has gone, but it's wrong of him to not face the consequences of what he has done. The longer he hides, the more scrutiny his family has to face, I imagine. I mean, the press in all major cities have gotten a-hold of the story, and there is a nationwide search for him, as well as the warrants for his arrest.

My Favorite Places In Newport

SHOP EXPRESS

I worked at Shop Express from June, 2005 'till September, 2006. I'm good friends with the owner, Malik, and his brother, Sean. You'll find either of them there. They were born in Pakistan and then moved to Switzerland and then they moved to the USA. They are great conversationalists, so there's lots of gossip and joking going on in there store. Not to mention the food, drinks, gasoline, and everything else you need. But, if you want to go there to gossip and joke around, only go if you have a good sense of humor.

PLAZA PIZZA

Yep, I recommend Plaza Pizza. Best pizza and subs in town. My parents have been going there since 1986 when they moved to New Hampshire. Very friendly people work there, and they have the best steak & cheese sub in town. It's the place where working class people go. My parents may be a little 'upper class', but you know, it's a better social place than Village Pizza, and the food is better. Village Pizza is a bit too 'ritzy' and 'pricey' for me, so get your ass down to Plaza Pizza, ASAP! Plus, it's where the State Troopers go for food. ;-)

HAIR'S WHERE IT'S AT

At least that's what I think the name of the place is. Owner is Susan Dresser. I've been going to her for my hair cut since I was a baby. Haven't been to any other places to get my hair done, except for twice. I will not repeat those mistakes!

SALT HILL PUB

Very Irish. It's the only pub that Jessica and I go to. I don't drink alcohol beverages, but Jessica does once in a while and this is the place we go to if she wants a drink. Great food, great workers. Stay away from the place on Friday and Saturday nights, as it becomes too packed and there's a ton of men talking about their loveless lives and past sexual encounters. Haha.

CORBIN COVERED BRIDGE PARK

I enjoy that place. Nice to sit and to hear the birds singing and the water of the Sugar River go by. Calm and peaceful, I believe I've written several songs there. I've been there at night, too. Very nice... very nice.

THE NEWPORT TOWN COMMON

In Newport, the town common is one of the biggest in the United States, I think. They have a big stage at one end, where bands play on Sunday. Once, a friend and I were very tired as we hadn't slept for a few days, and we went down to the common and stood on the stage and sang 'We Will Rock You' at the top of our longs around 7:00 AM. Everyone walking by thought we were crazy, they're probably right. But it's a nice place, and there's benches all around it so you can sit down and just get busy doing nothing, watching the cars drive by. I took a photo of the stage and it's posted at the top of this page and is also featured on the Newport, NH website
( http://www.newportnh.net ) somewhere.
